Why I wrote the book
She was sentenced to hang but was a vulnerable woman condemned for a crime she did not commit?
I left London in 1989 to run a pub in Ostend, Belgium, where I lived for four years. I have been with her same-sex partner, since 1994 -the lady I met who came to Ostend, on holiday. My last job was working within the mental health sector of the NHS.
My final professional role was working within the mental health sector of the NHS, which brought lived experience and professional insight to themes of addiction, trauma, and recovery. During this time, I wrote Escape from Reality plus two short private eye stories, based on two murders/suicides in Ostend. This remains unpublished at present, hoping to get a literary agent.
I in 2016 and, since then have written 8 novels based on true, historical events, which I have meticulously researched. I am regularly invited to give talks about my books.
I have painted since school and have painted/designed my own book covers.
My website: Footstepsinthepast.uk, displays all of my books. I also display my books for sale at book sales and fairs. All of my books are available on Amazon.
