Hello, I am Robert Barr and I would like to introduce you to my book “Rebuilding the Kingdom”. Jesus taught for three years and although He had many followers, He concentrated on training twelve disciples to carry on His work and eventually sent out seventy more to minister. After Pentecost, hundreds were attracted to the church and eventually thousands more. Within a few years, the church spread throughout the Roman empire and beyond. Many members today who read the book of Acts, wonder if the stories are really true or just fictional stories added later. They look around them and see a dying church with declining membership that has little influence in the world and is openly ridiculed by society. They cannot imagine a church that could grow like the early church did and was so influential in a pagan Roman society that it could bring down the pagan Roman government. Down through the years, the church has often grown cold and lifeless but God has raised up a remnant with fresh fire to bring revival.
