Inside the Mind - Ron Glick

  • What inspired you to start writing?
Starting at a young age, as I read books, I always imagined different variations, different stories, different ideas. Reading, in other words, made me envision telling stories myself, which of course led to a desire to write stories of my own. Through the years, that has evolved from simply wanting to tell stories to wanting to explore ideas and eventually into sharing experiences and knowledge. My inspiration to write was never one thing - it has been a constantly growing and expanding process of understanding that I strive to discover words to share with others.
  • Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
The latest book I am working on continues the saga of the Godslayer Cycle. Unlike the first three books in the series though, the fourth book is an Interlude - a break in the series devoted to devoping the backstory of the series characters. The Godslayer Cycle was always designed to be a trilogy of trilogies, separated by a two interludes. This book, Bracken, is the first of the two planned interludes, calling upon the outcast dwarf to return to his roots, and along the way better understand his true purpose in his own history.

  • What inspired you to start writing?
I have honestly dreamed about being a writer for as long as I could remember. I was always an avid reader, and coming up with my own ideas for stories just seemed natural. But it was not until I was able to tap into Indie publishing that I was able to realize my dream.
  • Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
The latest book I am presently writing will be my 13th novel, 31st book overall. Though this will technically be the fourth book in my Godslayer Cycle Series, Bracken is actually labled as the First Interelude of the Godslayer Cycle. Most everyone believes Nathaniel Goodsmith to have died, but his companions seek to prove otherwise. Only before they set out on the quest to learn the truth, Bracken, the stalwart dwarf of the group, gets a message from beyond the grave compelling him to return home to reveal the truth behind his sire's murder. So leaving the quests for the swords behind for a time, Bracken sets out to explore new, previously unrevealed locations in Na'Ril as he travels across the countryside in his effort to do right by his father.
