The book contains 24 stories for elementary-school-aged children. I think this book belongs on each student's desk at home or in a classroom. The stories are simple snapshots of a little student's school day, showing him interacting with other students, adults, and teachers. My book teaches him how to choose a friend, keep friendships, and keep someone's word. Students become friends, share a sandwich, encounter bears, skid in a boat, and repair a bicycle together so they can ride it. Under adult supervision, they learn why puddles disappear soon after the rain, watch a fish raining in the yard of a country house, and hatch a snake from a strange egg found in the park. The book is full of wonderful adventures, and each story teaches kids to be kind, responsible, brave, and respectful.
