Join two best friends and roommates as the graduate from West Point in 1848. They join an Army recently victorious in Mexico, but now desperately trying to modernise while cracking at the seams. They observe the lesson learn by the Delafield Commission, train with the new technologies and participate in developing the new tactics. Also, join their families and soon to be wives as they also join their journey.
