Q: What inspired you to start writing?
I was telling stories before I learned how to write them down. Writing is as natural to me as breathing. So it is safe to say I was born a writer.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest publication was the final entry into a six-book series collectively titled Birds in Peril.
#6 Bluebird of Happiness is Anne's story as she survives a profoundly humiliating experiece and begins a new life with the local badboy

Q: How do you create your characters?
I write largely about life in rural Missouri so most of my characters are based on the likeness of a people I have known all of my life

Q: What does your typical writing day look like?
I don't have a set pattern. I tend to do most of my writing in the evening. I'm a night owl as opposed to an early morning person.

Q: What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
The independance. Not being told what to do when or where but having the opportunity to make those choices on my own

Q: What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
Finding the stamina to get it all written and perfected. In recent years, health problems seem to have taken the upper hand in my life.

Q: What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
Just do it. Sit down and write. No one is going to be able to draw that story from your brain onto paper, computer screen, or even to another person but you. So just write that first draft. Get it into physical form. You can rewrite, perfect and polish later.

Q: What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
Yes, I am working on a new romantic suspense. Don't really want to say more about it right now. I'd like to say it will be published by Christmas but that might not happen. One day at a time. So, we will see how it goes
