Q: What inspired you to start writing?
Jane B. Lee is a multi-novel author this is her ninth novel. They are in several genres, Romantic/Thrillers, Love Stories, Poems and Art. She is a playwright, a poet, short story author, painter, and sculpture. She holds two patents for environmental monitoring equipment. A world traveler she has visited 62 countries. Her travel adventures provide inspiration for her novels. Having been both rich and poor, male and female, she knows and writes about both worlds.
I write novels to get them out of my head…and into yours.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
The Fire in my Life, details the difficulties of transitioning from
male to female, both mental and physical.
Lisa sits alone in the dark on the beach in Hawaii, lost to the
world. Having run away from her world in hopes of finding
herself. Her thoughts take her back in time. She goes over all
the difficulties she experienced from a decade of living as a
woman. Finally, she makes the decision to begin her physical
transition to becoming a complete woman.
But as a woman in transition. On a lonely trip to Hawaii, she
meets and falls in love with Diana A tall beautiful blue eyed woman.

Q: How do you create your characters?
good question. I usually start out with the protagonist. She is first up on the first page. Then I add the lover. Then the rest just walk into my story.

Q: What does your typical writing day look like?
I start writing usually after 6 pm up to 8pm. If I'm excited about a chapter, I write any free time I have. Even in the mornings. I usually write for about two to three hours at a time. I have been known to write for eight hours straight.

Q: What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
Getting you first copy of your novel.

Q: What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
My first novel "Identity" I had no idea how to publish it. My book of short stories, I got published at a business supply store. "So Far." Cost a fortune.

Q: Do you have any favorite writing tools or apps?
I start off on a yellow tablet. When I move that to my PC. I use AI both in the PC and my cell phone to correct my spelling.

Q: What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
The hardest part is to start. Dive in and see where it goes.

Q: How do you handle book promotion as an indie author?
Sell my books at bars, book fairs, anyplace I can get a table. I put them up on Facebook, X,

Q: What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
Yes.. two new books. Halfway through with my 10th book. And I have started my 11th book.
