Q: What inspired you to start writing?
I felt I had a story to tell. Writing it was a very big learning curve, but I enjoyed the process, and I've now written over twenty books.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
My last book was book five in my Jocasta Bradman Investigates series. The books are amusing, paranormal, historical mysteries. Jostcasta is a spiritual medium. The Latest book is called Jocasta Bradman Investigates A Regency Mystery. I was inspired by Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice, and I loved writing about the Regency Period.

Q: How do you create your characters?
They are combinations of celebrities, characters from films, and people I know.

Q: What does your typical writing day look like?
I try to write most days, and several hours will pass without me realising it. For me, it's an organic process, and it often involves a lot of historical research.

Q: What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
It gives me satisfaction to produce something that has only existed in my imagination and see it come to fruition.

Q: What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
Marketing, trying to find your audience and gain visibility, is without a doubt the greatest challenge, although I know I'm far from alone there. It's a nut I'm yet to crack.

Q: What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
Write because you love writing, don't write thinking you will become rich and famous.

Q: How do you handle book promotion as an indie author?
Social media and websites like Bargain Booksy and Fussy Librarian. It's tough and very time-consuming.

Q: What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
My next book will be book six in my Jocasta Bradman series and will be called The House of Illusion.
