Q: What inspired you to start writing?
10 years ago I had been discouraged to stop writing and a year ago I decided to pick it up again. I was so nervous about it but I felt it was something I needed to do.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is Love on the Rocks. It's about my favorite femme superhero, ALICE. She's seemed stuck on a dead end job until...it becomes quite dangerous to be her. She's running for her life after one wrong bargain. Will she save her life, will the bad guys get to her and how far does this scandal go?
-
Q: How do you create your characters?
I create my characters through lived experiences, through imagination and through things I find a little hard to reveal about myself, I can freely place in the characters.
-
Q: What does your typical writing day look like?
Erratic! I am writing out the different characters in a chapter, introducing plots and literally fighting the pen away from characters that want to be themselves and my moral compass is getting in the way. Hehehe I am trying to shut it and let them be who they need to be.

Q: What has been the most rewarding part of being an indie author?
The most rewarding part was being able to write again, publishing books I didn't think were in me and releasing them out in the world. Quite exhilarating!
-
Q: What’s one challenge you’ve faced in your writing journey?
Myself. I get in the way of full character development. I want the character to be likeable and yet sometimes they are the worst so balancing or rather erasing my ideas of who they should be and just letting them fully take charge is something I am learning to do.
-
Q: Do you have any favorite writing tools or apps?
I would say Libre Office and substack have really helped me gain confidence.
-
Q: What advice would you give to new or aspiring indie authors?
Write the book and be proud of it. I already am so that's two of us.
-
Q: How do you handle book promotion as an indie author?
I try to serialize a book and make the first chapters public, I promote it on all social media and different communities.
-
Q: What’s next for you? Are you working on a new book?
I am writing other books. I think I want to try write a thriller/mystical book next and then fantasy. I want to see how far my imagination goes before I settle on a niche.
