I’ve never been fond of all those wordy GRAMMAR and PUNCTUATION RULES with their stiff formalities and strange verbalizations. Frankly, other than English professors and teachers, I’ve never met anyone who loved them.
Stinky Jargon examples: Simple past conjunctive+past participle+present participle. Also, terms like simple, progressive, perfect, perfect-progressive, subjective mood-active voice, and so on ad nauseam. I mean . . .
Just stop!
Show us the correct way to do it, and let us move on, is my approach to everyday grammar and punctuation. As stated in the title, a dressed-up skunk is still a stinky skunk, so why terrify us with grammar and punctuation mumble-jumble when proper rules can be learned easily and with a dash of fun?
